How the Sons service works
The official order FAQ describes an online hair-loss consultation followed by recommended plans. Sons identifies The Independent Pharmacy as its partner pharmacy and prescribing service. A service recommendation is not a guarantee that every product is suitable for you.
Sons' direct plans use a rolling subscription. The FAQ says the full selected number of months is paid for up front, with automatic renewal at that frequency. A six-month plan is therefore not necessarily six separate monthly payments. Check the order summary and next renewal date rather than relying on a monthly-equivalent headline.
Standalone minoxidil and prescription services are different
Our Sons minoxidil page is about the standalone 5% cutaneous solution, with dated retailer pack prices and its own patient leaflet. It is not the prescription combination spray, a capsule, or a bundle containing additional medicines.
The existing Sons finasteride record is a separate prescription-treatment research page with its own source date. It should not be treated as the price or safety information for the standalone spray. We do not rank prescription or unlicensed products by efficacy or assume their promotions apply to the OTC pack.

Introductory price, renewal bill and cancellation
On the check date, the standalone spray page displayed 'from £16.50/month' and explicitly described it as an introductory first-order price. The publicly viewed page did not establish a selected plan's complete renewal bill, so we have not labelled £16.50 a permanent monthly cost or used it in the one-off delivered-price table.
The subscription FAQ says later orders use the regular plan price shown on the website and order confirmation. It describes pausing/cancelling through Manage Account → Amend Next Order → Pause Subscription, before renewal. Changes can be made up to the day before the next order processes; processed orders cannot be cancelled. Contact the provider if the account controls or timing are unclear.
Delivery and customer support
Sons lists £2.99 standard delivery for orders below £40 and free delivery over £40, with Royal Mail standard delivery described as 3–5 days. Its FAQ also lists a £3.99 tracked 48-hour option. Exactly-at-threshold orders, clinical follow-up, postcode restrictions and current checkout charges should be confirmed with Sons.
The subscription support contact is hello@sons.co.uk. Medicine returns are restricted; do not assume cancelling a future renewal also cancels an order already processed or provides a medicine refund.
Sons discount codes, vouchers and seasonal terms
No independently validated Sons minoxidil coupon or voucher is applied to our recorded prices. A general welcome promotion may be limited to selected plans, new customers or an initial order. Its presence on the site does not prove it applies to a retailer pack or the next renewal.
For future seasonal offers, keep the product, pack size, eligibility, expiry and renewal terms alongside any code. We have not inserted unverified Awin affiliate links or claimed commission availability.
Suitability and product information
Hair loss has different causes. NHS advice is to see a GP to establish the cause before considering a commercial hair clinic. The men's products recorded here have product-specific age limits: Sons 5% solution is labelled for men aged 18–65, and Regaine for Men foam for men aged 18–49. They are not women's products. Always read the label and accompanying leaflet; ask a pharmacist or doctor about suitability, scalp conditions, heart or circulation problems, other medicines and side effects. This is price and service research, not a diagnosis or prescribing advice.

Common questions
Does buying a Sons pack always require a subscription?
The direct Sons service describes rolling subscriptions. The separate Boots and Chemist4U standalone-pack listings provide a different pharmacy purchase route; check each retailer's current checkout and suitability questions.
Is the £16.50 monthly figure the regular renewal price?
No. The checked Sons spray page labelled it an introductory first-order figure. The selected plan's up-front payment and regular renewal amount must be verified before purchase.
Where is the Sons minoxidil page?
The brand-specific research page is /sons/minoxidil/. It separates one-bottle and three-bottle prices, delivery policies and the direct subscription headline.
